Construction Update Construction at the high school is proceeding nicely. As a result, we have important information to share with you about some changes for this year. The bus loop at the high school will be restored to full access for the start of school on Tuesday September 8th. To minimize traffic in the bus loop during construction, parents bringing students to school are asked to pick up or drop off students in the north parking lot off of Center Street. Students will be provided information regarding physical education during the first day of physical education classes. During construction, changing space will be provided. However, students will not have lockers to secure items in or store clothing in. Please discuss this with your student more >>

Testing Letter 4/14/15 As the mother of four children, I completely understand the message that parents are trying to send to the state. Parent Math Night - Tape Diagrams Parent Math Night - Tape Diagrams . Wednesday, March 4, 6:30-8:00pm, Homer High School Library . A tape diagram is a drawing that employs rectangles to represent different amounts.  They can be used to show a variety of operations:  addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, ratios, and even algebra.  Tape diagrams are particularly useful as a way for students to make sense of story problems and to demonstrate the strategies employed to solve the problems.  Come for an evening of hands-on activities to explore how tape diagrams develop problem-solving abilities throughout Grades 1 – 7.  Please RSVP by calling 749-1206. This event is co-sponsored by the Cortland County Teachers’ Center.   more >>
