Congratulations to junior Anna G. for her efforts to address an important humanitarian issue, hunger, by her participation in the World Food Prize Symposium.  Anna presented at the World Food Prize at Cornell University in March. Her topic was on Human Rights in Bangladesh and her paper title was Bangladesh: Solving Food Insecurity One Woman at a Time.
Anna is one of 6 students (from a field of 77 applicants) selected as NY Youth Institute Student Delegates to represent New York State at the World Food Prize Symposium in Des Moines Iowa. The six students selected to attend the World Food Prize Symposium in Des Moines, Iowa in October 18-21, 2017 will attend with their teacher/mentor.  Students were selected based on their essays and oral presentations.  We are proud of her accomplishment and support from her family, Mrs. Andersen and Mrs. Head.
