On Saturday October 20th, Homer High School hosted over 120 students and adults from 13 area schools for the 2nd annual Central New York Youth Climate. The CNY Master Teacher Program, Homer Environmental Club and Homer Central School District sponsored the summit. Summitters attended workshops on food sustainability, climate change, how to engage the public in conversations and much more. They then crafted action plans to implement at their schools. Members of our own Green Team presented a talk on action plan writing. On October 24th, they also presented al "3 years, 3 projects" to participants at the Finger Lakes Climate Summit at Hobart and William Smith College.
