Superintendent Ruscio takes one for the Team!
Ice Bucket Challenge
Superintendent Nancy Ruscio accepted the ALS Ice Bucket Challenge, in response to the nomination by Homer football coaches and players. In doing so, she nominated the following:
- Superintendent Casey Barduhn of Westhill
- Superintendent Matthew Reilly of Cazenovia
- Homer High School Principal Douglas VanEtten
- Superintendent Michael Hoose of Cortland Schools
The ALS ice bucket challenge seeks to raise awareness of Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS ), more commonly referred to as Lou Gehrig’s disease. ALS is a progressive neurodegenerative disease that attacks nerve cells and pathways in the brain and spinal cord. For more information about ALS, visit www.alsa.org
