Homer Celebrates Two Hundred Years of Education:
The Homer Central School District honored its 200th year of state-approved education by unveiling a historical sign recently in a ceremony at Homer Elementary School.
The historical sign serves as a tribute to the educators, students and families that have kept the Homer Central School District prosperous over the past two hundred years.

The Homer Central School District is continuing a partnership with Guthrie Family Medicine that will provide students with weekly access to a Nurse Practitioner this school year.

Medicine. This year, Homer parents can opt their child
in to weekly access to a Nurse Practitioner in school.

Opening Day Assembly Provides Learning, Smiles for Staff:
Over three hundred employees of the Homer Central School District participated kicked off the school year in style on Tuesday at Homer High School at an opening day assembly.
The day began with a quick introduction in the auditorium where Homer Superintendent Thomas Turck gave a warm welcome to the staff for the new school year. Students Visit Elizabeth Brewster House:
Mrs. Pitcher's class visited the Elizabeth Brewster House to read their original poems to some of the residents during activity period.
The class spent the past six weeks writing original poems and they were excited to share them with their new friends.
