Sandra Ellsworth Memorial Award

The Trustees of the Homer Education Foundation would like to express their condolences to the family of Sandra Ellsworth, Class of ’71, who passed away on on January 5, 2007 at St. David’s South Austin Hospital after battling ovarian/breast cancer for many years.

Sandra's family would like to honor her memory by providing a scholarship in her name. The total award in the amount of $1,000 will be given in two parts. The first $500 award will be presented at commencement and the second $500 will be presented after the recipient’s successful completion of one academic semester. This award will be presented each year, as long as there is a Homer Central High School, to a female senior who emulates the characteristics of friendship, school spirit, athletic and academic excellence, and perseverance.
